quieres mejores fotos busca mejores sujetos
Ayer leía esto en un blog:
When an editor tells me they want better pictures in the magazine the first thing I say to them is, “get me better subjects.”
Creating compelling imagery with mundane subjects is best left to great artists. It’s nearly impossible.
When you’re starting out in this business if your friends, your family or where you live is not interesting go find something that is and take a goddam picture of it.
The subject always rules. I know this because when I’ve got a juicy subject for a story I can have the pick of any photographer I want to shoot it.

Es algo con lo que no estoy completamente de acuerdo, pero mientras le daba vueltas al grado de certeza de la afirmación me he pasado por Ball_Saal y he visto esta presentación (que os recomiendo encarecidamente): Lana Slezic en ball saal, pues bien como muestra de lo frágiles que son mis principios, ahora sí, digo: quieres mejores fotos busca mejores sujetos.

detener un instante
Buscando un titulo par mi foto-blog le he dado muchas vueltas a la capacidad de "detener un instante" inherente a la fotografía. Me gusta entretenerme con este pensamiento. Creo que puede ayudarme a dar un enfoque más concreto a mi trabajo.
Pese a ello no he llegado a ninguna conclusión.
